Scepter Military Water Can 10L TAN
Manufactured to Original Military Spec!
Scepter Military Water Cans are the real deal folks not cheap knock off military water cans.
The longevity of a MWC - being plastic - is 15 years and beyond, and during that period there is no risk of plastic leaching into the water. In principle, the water can should be for transport and short term storage.
Keeping in mind temperature when storing will have an impact on the longevity of a clean water supply.
Weight: 3.23 lbs
I ordered two of the 10 liter cans. They are very well built and should last a long time compared to some of the water cans I've purchased before. I'm really glad I ordered these. Lexington Container Company shipped them out the next day and they arrived just a few days later. Ordering process on the web site was simple and went smoothly. I will be ordering a couple 20 liter cans from Lexington again soon.
We saw your 10L in acton at a recent Scout Camporee and had to have our own... Your prices are awesome and again, the size and shape make it perfect for the younger scouts to manage a water run.
We got several comments at the recent Overland Expo-East last weekend on our run to the Water Buffalo from our camp site.
Bravo to Scepter and Lexington Container for making this product 10 out of 10...
The only problem we experienced was leakage around the lid when the dispensing nozzle was attached for use.
Excellent product, fast shipping. I will order again from you in the future.
If a person doesn't have the wrench to tighten the lid, the lid is hard to tighten by hand especially for women and a young child. The lid and the spout could use O - Rings inside them. Other then that the cans are excellent, very rugged and definitely worth purchasing, I would purchase them again.
To say I was impressed when I got these is an understatement. I bought them sight unseen based on reviews. They are STOUT. REALLY heavy-duty, they bear no relation whatsoever to the water cans you might find elsewhere. The lids are similarly heavy-duty. You can remove the large lid for filling, but THAT lid has a smaller pour lid as well as a pressure relief. Some minor residual odor from manufacturing was taken care of with a quick, soapy wash and a rinse with hot water and baking soda. Ours will be used for camping and RV'ing.
Just terrific water cans, and Lexington Container has excellent pricing on them. Lexington shipped right out ... I had them in 3 days. Both the water cans AND Lexington Container are highly recommended!
I own two of the 20 l cans and love them. Just did a week long trip with them. We have two dogs and so I bought this smaller one that just stays in the jeep That way they always have fresh water when we are out and about in the woods. Such a handy size!!
I PURCHASED 3 OF THESE ... VERY SOLID AND RUGGED. THEY PASSED THE LEAK TEST ... NO LEAKS. I LIKE THE SIZE AND COLOR CHOICES. WILL USE THESE FOR CAMPING, DOG WATER, VEHICLE RESERVE AND STORAGE. I WILL BE PURCHASING MORE. FREE S/H IS A BIG PLUS !!
For backcountry tours in the desert, or on river trips into the wild, the scepter military 10L (2.5 gal) is a stable, sturdy, packable and reliable water container. (2.5 gal x 8 pounds water) Put the container at 20 pounds, plus the weight of the shell. That capacity and weight is reasonable when packing, toting and pouring and the vent assists when draining larger amounts. Was in the SW desert a month ago and saw a NPS backcountry rig packing four of these units, two on the outside and (reportedly) two within. It's a sturdy and robust container. and today, a required unit in my and my friends outdoor vehicle and river travels.
I have used these for years, just added 2 more to my supply....easier to handle than the 5 gal units...we used them for camping, rafting ....excellent!
